Conveniently located in the southeast portion of the SF Bay Area, Fremont is the fourth most populated city in the Bay Area and the fifth largest in California. It is the closest Alameda County city to the Silicon Valley and home to a diverse population of Silicon Valley high tech employees, as well as those employed by Fremont's own broad variety of innovative firms including over 1,200 high tech, life science, and clean technology firms. Comprised of five unique Districts, the large city is able to nurture close-knit communities and consistently boasts some of the highest-performing schools in the state.
